Jewish Religious Community "Chabad - Lubavitch"

The Chabad Center in Latvia was established in March 1992. Chabad-Lubavitch community is a member of Latvian Council of the Jewish Communities.

The main fields of activities of «Chabad-Lubavitch Latvia”

  • Educational projects: The Ohel Menachem Kindergarden and summer camps, Sunday School, lectures on Judaism, the distribution of  religious literature, etc.;
  • Social aid to elderly and socially unprotected members of the Jewish Community (charity kitchen);
  • Preserving and  keeping to Jewish traditions – holidays and religious services;
  • Kosher cuisine, kosher products. “Chabad-Lubavitch Latvia” has its kosher café “Lechaim” that offers traditional Jewish meals as well as ritual accessories and literature.
