Jurmala Jewish Community
Jewish Community of Jurmala was founded in 1992.
In the beginning of 2008 the Jewish population of Jurmala numbers about 300 people.
Jewish Community of Jurmala is a member of Latvian Council of the Jewish Communities.
The basic goals and tasks of the community - providing social help to elderly and ill people, preserving and keeping religious traditions.
Traditionally, members of the community gather for big Jewish holidays.
The memorial events take place to commemorate the victims of the Holocaust.
Jews of Jurmala also take active part in programs and events organized by the Jewish Community of Riga.
