Jewish youth participate in Lo Tishkach project

The Youth Centre of the Riga Jewish Community, with support of the Lo Tishkach Foundation, undertook a project in October of 2009, the goal of which is surveying of all Jewish cemeteries and mass graves in Latvia.

Young people aged 14 to 26 participate in seminars on Jewish history, culture and traditions. In spring and summer they will organize field trips throughout the country to  identify the state of all Jewish burial grounds in Latvia.
There are 55 Jewish cemeteries in Latvia and about 200 mass gravs.
