To mark the International Holocaust Remembrance Day, an ecumenical prayer was held at the Biķernieki Memorial in Riga on 27 January, 2022,  commemorating people of different faiths who were killed during the Nazi occupation in Bikernieki forest – Jews, war prisoners and opponents of the Nazi regime.

The prayers were upheld by Rabbi of the Riga Jewish Religious Community Kalev Krelin and the member of the board Jevgeny Ambreit, pastor of the Latvian Evangelical Lutheran Church Guntars Dimants, priest of the Roman Catholic Church in Latvia Aivars Līcis, and protopriest of the Latvian Orthodox Church Jānis Dravants.

The memorial ceremony was attended by Latvian officials, foreign ambassadors and members of the Jewish community.
