On June 6th 2016 influential New York newspaper The Wall Street Journal published a joint appeal of mayors of European and American cities against anti-Semitism. 188 European mayors (including mayors of London, Paris and Vienna) and 319 U.S. mayors (including mayors of New York and Boston) signed the statement. Heads of the cities condemned anti-Jewish hatred in all its forms and recognized the need to confront the growing threat of anti-Semitism.
Among the signatories is Riga Mayor Nil Ushakov. We thank the mayor for his involvement and willingness to fight any expressions of anti-Semitism!
